The Nevado Huarapasca is located in the southern part of the Cordillera Blanca, it is surrounded by little-explored mountains such as Tuco, Challhua, Caullaraju, Juchuraju, among others. The Huarapasca is a mountain that offers an accessible and fun experience for those who wish to do technical wall climbing since it does not present great difficulties. Nevado Huarapasca has 3 slopes of 60° – 65° which makes it ideal for gaining experience in ice climbing technique, it is also an excellent mountain to acclimatize and prepare before a more technically complex expedition. Its summit is very picturesque, with a great visual domain of the Cordillera Blanca, Cordillera Huayhuash, Cordillera Negra and Cordillera Hualcán.
